Featured learning resource
This learning resource introduces 18 different musical instruments to children and asks them to identify the main instrument in pieces of music. The module is accompanied by hour upon hour of high quality, carefully selected music streamed from Magnatune. Instruments both from Western and other cultures are included. It is an ideal first introduction to children to classical and other musical genres. This is a module where you'll never want to leave the questions behind. The music can continue playing after each question has been answered, and you won't want to stop it. Visit Introduction to musical instruments / visit more featured learning resources.

The medicine section of Qedoc has become one of its largest sections, currently comprising some 60 modules. Most of these consist of many hundreds of questions - medical modules tend to be very much larger than the average. By May 2007, a total of 6000 medical questions were available, of which about 1000 were in Spanish. Since then we have lost track, but the total number is likely to be over 10000. Qedoc software is especially useful for helping medical and nursing students memorize the very large quantities of information they must learn for medical examinations. The section is therefore primarily orientated towards the needs of tertiary education. Topics such as hematology, anatomy, anaesthesiology, cardiology, psychology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, nursing and first aid are covered. View this portal / more featured portals.
