Adjusting the difficulty level of the Qedoc Quiz Maker
From Qedoc
Qedoc Quiz Maker has a lot of features, which is a good thing for experienced users and daunting for newcomers. To make it easier for people to start using this programme, we borrowed an idea from computer games: difficulty levels. At the easier levels, only a limited number of choices and controls are available, which makes it easier to know what to do next.Difficulty levels can be selected either from the menubar or from the toolbar. The above screenshot shows the menubar being used. Once selected, the current difficulty level always displays in a drop-down box on the toolbar.
When you choose a new difficulty level, a pop-up dialog tells you a little about the new level. Normally the programme will remember you last selected difficulty level, so you shouldn't need to change too much. When you load a module that requires a higher level, the programme automatically tries to change to that level (if allowed).
Which difficulty levels are allowed?
A free user has access to all the levels up to "advanced". This unlocks about 98% of the programme's features. The "secure" level is only for commercial users, and contains a few security features that are incompatible with the free-distribution-and-modification requirements governing free use.
