This page describes a Qedoc learning module or quiz entitled "Japanese Hiragana". You can download the module from this page to put on your computer. You can also launch the module straight off the web using the launch quiz link on the right-hand side of this page. Another way to access this quiz is to install the Qedoc Quiz Player and bring up its directory of downloadable quizzes. Whichever way you choose to use it, it's free.

Description
Note by Qedoc: this module was submitted anonymously. Normally we do not publish anonymous work, but the standard of this module was so high that we felt it had to be published.
The module contains the following activities:
- Learn Hiragana. This is an optional activity where the hiragana letters will be displayed. It will not count toward your score.
- Hiragana Vowels. This will test your knowlege of hirigana vowels. This activity is worth half as much as other activities (5 points total).
- The Hiragana K's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "t" row. (10 points total).
- The Hiragana S's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "s" row. (10 points total).
- Quiz 1. Every so often, there will be reviews. They will use what you have learned so far. This quiz is worth twice as much as other activities (50 points total). So only start when you think you are ready.
- The Hiragana T's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "t" row. (10 points total).
- The Hiragana N's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "n" row. (10 points total).
- The Hiragana H's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "h" row. (10 points total).
- Quiz 2. This is the second quiz, which is worth more than other activities (55 points total), so only start it when your ready. It will use nearly everything you have learned so far.
- The Hiragana M's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "m" row. (10 points total).
- The Hiragana Y's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "y" row. (6 points total).
- The Hiragana R's. This activity will test you on the hiragana "r" row. (10 points total).
- Quiz 3. This is the third quiz, which is worth more than other activities (80 points total), so only start it when your ready. It will use a lot of you have learned so far.
- The Last 3 Hiragana. This activity will test you on the hiragana "w" row, and n. (5 points total).
- Base Hiragana Quiz. This will quiz you on the 46 base hiragana characters. It will be worth more than the other activities and quizzes (132 points total), so only start it when you're ready.

How to use this module
To use a Qedoc learning module, the following procedure is recommended:
- Really easy: click the click here to launch hyperlink at the top right of the page. Then just wait and click your way (if necessary) through any dialogue screens. The module will launch straight off the web.
- Fairly easy: if you wish to have the module downloaded to your desktop, then start the Qedoc Quiz Player (which you can download and install on your computer if you haven't done so yet) and run through the starting dialogues until it presents you with a list of modules to load. Switch to the online learning modules tab, and the Qedoc Quiz Player will download a list of currently published modules from the web. Choose your desired module (this one) from the list. A local copy will then be kept on your computer for future use.
- Not so easy: click the download link at the bottom of the "quick facts" box and the module's ZIP file will download to your desktop. To actually use this, however, you must move it to the /player/modplay subdirectory of whichever directory the Qedoc software is installed in (usually /programme files/qedoc).
