The module loader is a powerful mini-application within the Qedoc Quiz Maker and Qedoc Quiz Player. It manages the loading of both locally and remotely stored learning modules. The module loader is designed to be self-explanatory and easy-to-use. This article lists its features.

  • There are two tabs across the top, used for switching between loading of local and remote files. When a remote file is loaded, a copy of it is always added to the local files.
  • There is an information panel on the right.
    • When the module loader is started and when the help button is pressed, information displays here about how to use the module loader.
    • When a module is selected from the list, the module description displays in the information panel. Descriptions may be short or long, depending on how helpful the author was.
  • A table in the centre lists the modules.
    • The table content can be sorted by column. Numerous columns are available to help pick a module: title; size of module in terms of questions and levels; rating.
    • The table content can be filtered by author or by subject.
  • There may be a very large number of remote modules available. The module loader therefore allows these to be paged through. You can choose how many titles are displayed per page, and navigate backwards and forwards through the pages. As remote lists are loaded from the web, you can choose to stop and restart the list loading using the stop and start buttons.
