Moodle support in version 1.4.4

Description of support

In March 2007, the release of version 1.4.4 of the Qedoc Quiz Maker included features for full interoperability with Moodle's "quiz module". Interoperability is achieved by export/import of quizzes using Moodle XML format.

As of version 1.4.4, the Qedoc Quiz Maker currently supports the following Moodle features in its export format for Moodle's "quiz module":

  • Multiple choice questions (single response)
  • Multiple choice questions (multiple response)
  • Simple typed response questions
  • Numerical response (export only; they are imported back as simple typed response)
  • Pair matching

In addition, feedback and points are imported and exported.

Provisional list of further features to be added in future versions

Moodle can potentially support imports and exports of the following additional features. These may be added in future versions of the Qedoc Quiz Maker:

  • An image embedded in the question prompt or stimulus.
  • Essay question types.
  • Description question types (equivalent to Qedoc presentation pages).
  • Cloze or gapfill question types.

Moodle support in version 2.7.0

Description of support

As of version 2.7.0, the Qedoc Quiz Player can be integrated directly into Moodle and interact with Moodle. For example, if the Qedoc Player is launched from Moodle, the Qedoc Player receives a temporary pointer to a record of the user's identity and can submit results back into Moodle for that user.

This places the entire ability of the Qedoc software at Moodle's disposal - e.g. all 100+ question types can be used from within Moodle, rather than the half dozen or so supported by Moodle's "quiz module".
