About this website

This website, maintained at http://www.qedoc.org, is a learning object repository, documentation centre and forum for author collaboration. It is hoped that this site can be mirrored (or equivalents set up) in as many languages as possible. This website is a "wiki" which is part of a suite of IT services and applications published under the Qedoc brand name. As a wiki it is editable by anyone. The core documentation is provided by the Qedoc team, but any users may add to the documentation, engage in discussion, contribute to future development or request help. Contributed educational resources are collected and catalogued here for public access. The purposes of this site do not currently extend beyond the learning repository and its support services. In particular, this is not a general educational or learning site - it serves very specific purposes. Key parts of this site include (1) the learning object repository - a growing bank of free, editable, redistributable, interoperable educational resources, based around interactive quizzes; (2) the documentation for the software which allows you to play back and/or edit the above resources, together with other materials intended to help with the process of creating educational resources like those in the learning object repository; (3) forums and other opportunities for promoting collaboration between educators, and between educators and Qedoc developers.
