Using Moodle's Quizport with Qedoc

About Quizport
Quizport is the working name (as of 2009) for a Moodle add-on module. The module allows, among other things, for the full integration of Qedoc modules into Moodle using the web version of the Qedoc Quiz Player. The module is currently not part of the default Moodle installation (2009), but is expected to change its name and be part of the default installation when Moodle 2.0 is released. The basic version of quizport costs nothing and is available under a similar licence to Moodle.
Qedoc is not responsible for the Quizport extension to Moodle. Consequently Qedoc cannot accept any responsibility if the extension suddently disappears, changes its functionality or malfunctions. However we try to be as helpful and cooperative as we can, as it is a great thing to have. Generally the people at Moodle are helpful and responsive to problems reported on the forums, but if you require specialist help or if you are a commercial project, your offer to pay for support or extra features will be appreciated, as the Moodle developers also need incomes.
Installing Quizport
Download
Download link: http://bateson.kanazawa-gu.ac.jp/moodle/quizport-module.0.9.x.zip (watchpoint: as this is a direct link to a ZIP file, it may quickly become out of date; if you see a more recent download on the Moodle site, please report it here).
Instructions for installation onto Moodle
Assuming your Moodle is pre-2.0 (1.x), then you will need to install Quizport onto your Moodle. The following is a Youtube video showing how to do it. There is no sound and the video is a little fuzzy.
The following instructions were posted by Vicky Child at http://www.moodleblog.org/?m=200905

At this point you should have a Moodle with a Quizport module running. However you do not yet have any Qedoc material integrated.
Additional notes
- You will probably need a minimum of PHP 5.
Adding Qedoc material to Moodle via Quizport
Prerequisites
At a minimum, there are no prerequisites. You do not even need to make a Qedoc module. For an easy start (and/or evaluation or test), use one of the 1000's of modules already published on http://www.qedoc.org.
In the following, we will use the module Early North American History as an example. We're using it because it is short (a dozen questions), has only one activity, and has simple, generally comprehensible questions. If you visit the page Early North American History, you will see a box on the right-hand side which offers you the URL http://www.qedoc.com/library/GHKRB_006.zip for downloading the module. This is the URL you need for Moodle's Quizport. Note carefully: the URL will always begin "http://www.qedoc.com/library/" and end with a filename of the type ZIP. Every module hosted by Qedoc (whether publicly or privately) has such a URL available with it and the URL is used to launch the (Qedoc-hosted) module from within websites and web applications on other servers (such as a Moodle server).
Note carefully: do not download the ZIP file. The downloaded file is of no use to you. You need the URL, not the file. Quizport will fetch the file by itself. This is simpler, because if you downloaded the file, you'd have to upload it somewhere again and that could be a source of error. All you need is the URL.
